About Us

Welcome to Crown Hill Neighborhood Association

The Crown Hill Neighborhood Association (CHNA) is committed to fostering a vibrant, safe, and inclusive community within our defined boundaries: South – the north side of 30th Street; North – the south side of 38th Street; East – the west side of Meridian Street; and West – the east side of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Street to Interstate 65 along the north side. Our mission is to advance charitable and educational goals that benefit our neighborhood, creating a welcoming environment for all residents.

CHNA ensures that all voices are represented and that community goals are achieved through collective effort.

Community Partnerships

Our community partners are vital to building a stronger Crown Hill Neighborhood. These partners are actively involved in our ACTION Committees, attend CHNA monthly meetings, provide monetary and/or in-kind support, and offer expert guidance. Focus: Beautification and Safety, Arts and Identity, and Food Access

CHNA Community Garden

KIB/AES Project GreenSpace 2022-23

Mission Narrative:

In 2019, Crown Hill Neighborhood Association launched a beautification project to create a community garden and meeting space that addresses illegal dumping, enhances neighborhood pride, incorporates the arts, and promotes food access through education and engagement.

Intended Goals/Outcomes:

The Crown Hill Neighborhood Association aims to boost community engagement, reduce illegal dumping by 90%, enhance safety and pride through beautification and art, create a vibrant greenspace for public events, and educate residents on gardening and food access.

Additional Opportunities

The community garden will supply produce and flowers for CHNA events, beautify additional neighborhood areas, and promote sustainability through creative recycling and composting initiatives.
